Studio November works with clients across London on the renovation, restoration and redesign of period properties, listed buildings and Victorian and Georgian townhouses. London's residential streets contain some of the most architecturally significant domestic buildings in the country. Victorian terraces in Richmond and Bermondsey, Georgian townhouses in Southwark, mansion houses in St John's Wood each carries its own character, its own constraints, and its own history. Designing well within these buildings requires technical knowledge as much as creative instinct: an understanding of listed building consent, conservation area requirements, party wall agreements, and the structural realities of buildings that may be two hundred years old.
Studio November brings together interior design and architectural design under one studio, which is particularly valuable in London where the line between interiors and architecture is rarely clear. A reconfigured ground floor, a rear glass extension, a subterranean studio these are architectural interventions that must be designed with the interior in mind from the outset. We manage both. Our completed London projects include a refurbishment and extension in Richmond, a Grade II listed townhouse concept in Southwark, and a subterranean artist studio in St John's Wood. We have experience working with local planning authorities and conservation officers across the London boroughs, and a track record of securing listed building consent for sensitive residential projects.
